Do I need to be a member to volunteer?

The answer in no! Many of our volunteers are not members. There are so many areas of the organization that need community volunteers. There are opportunities for all ages. We can always use assistance to set up and prepare for banquets as well as our Beef and Oyster Dinners. We are always in need of help to pad oysters, work in the kitchen, or serve in the dining room. Another large fundraiser is the carnival, which also takes a significant number of volunteers. Those are just a few of the many opportunities to get involved.

Although membership is not required, we are always looking for individuals to be involved in the business of the company and to join our team to protect this community. Free training is provided to the fire and EMS personnel. This is a great opportunity to serve and protect your neighbors while learning new skills.

Being involved in the fire company is hard work, but it is rewarding. It is a great way to meet and fellowship with your neighbors and there are several ways to get involved. If you have some time to contribute and would like to get involved, we have a place for you.
